Phosphorus Health Risks
The importance of phosphorus in our everyday diet may not be as publicized as some other minerals like sodium, calcium, and potassium, but it has a bearing on our health nonetheless. Also, because of the close interrelationships among the various chemicals in our body, good health depends on maintaining appropriate levels and ratios of each. The ratio between the concentration of phosphorus in the blood and the concentration of calcium in the blood is especially important. Any imbalance in either direction can create serious problems.
